Sorry it's taken me some time to update about Peyton's foot. We were able to see an Orthopedic doc on Thursday morning. He was super nice. He had a bow tie on! In fact, if you have kid's and they watch Imagination Movers, that's what he looked like - Nitnots!
Anyway, after reviewing Peyton's xrays, watching her walk, examining her feet and flexibility, it was determined that she has a small fracture in her foot. He called it something specific that I can't remember the name of, but JD knew what it was and explained it to me. He said that it's a fracture caused by the tendon splintering the bone. Doc said it's not visible by xray - especially in a toddler. He gave us two options: 1. put a cast on her itty bitty foot or 2. keep an eye on her and let her body mend itself. I hesitantly asked him what his opinion was. He wants to monitor her and let her body work it out. So that was good news! We have to take her back if things get worse or if she's not walking normal in 3 weeks. It's nice knowing what's going on and also knowing that it's not a huge issue. I did ask if it would cause any long term issues and he said no. Thank goodness - we can still keep our dreams alive that she'll be an excellent athlete!!!
Thanks again to everyone for your comments and support. We really appreciate it.
Oh - crib update! We lowered the side of the crib. It's not officially a toddler bed, but it's much lower. She could get out easily if she wanted to, but has not done that yet. We do plan to move to a toddler bed. Her crib is one of those 4 in 1 cribs so she'll stay in hers. We already have a white crib for baby whatshername. I have white wicker furniture in the guest bedroom so that's going to become #2's bedroom. I got the crib for $90 at the consignment shop with a $10 mattress. I also got a double Graco stroller for $145. It's awesome and brand new looking.

Functioning on a fracture like that already ensures Peyton is going to be a stellar athlete! NOthing will stop that girl! Here's to happy healing :)
Awesome find on the crib and stroller! I was just at a consignment shop yesterday looking for deals such as that (stroller, etc)... but no luck.
OMG Kel! Just caught myself up on the life of Peyton. Wow the stuff I have to look forward to with my lil punkin. I am glad to hear that she will be ok. Just in my medical opinion, I agree in letting fracture heal. Children heal well and fast. I agree with Becs, she is going to be a stellar ATHLETE!! Lets hope Madison takes after her dad in that area. You should see you kick a ball....a soccor player in the makin.
That is awesome on the great deals you found...that is the way to shop.
Love ya girl
