CONGRATULATIONS ROB

Good news - Rob found out today that he made the promotion list for Major. Woohoo! We don't have the actual list so we're not sure when he will be promoted, but he's definitely on the list so within the next 6 months he'll be promoted. Wow - MAJOR DOUGLAS. That's just so funny to me because I've really only known him as Captain Douglas. We met when he was a Lieutenant, but I knew nothing about the military at that point so I'm not counting that rank.

So that's that. More money honey. That's always a good thing. If he's here when he's promoted then we will have a promotion party. If not, then I might just have one :) I think mine will include a nice shopping spree or maybe a trip to visit some friends....

Creative or not?

Just when you think you're creative with your child's name, you do a Google search and realize that there were two other Peyton Douglas babies born this year (and probably more!) Meet the two other Peytons:

Fortunately they are all boys so our Peyton still stands out.

Busy at 5 weeks

Here is my first attempt at pumping. I got a whole 2 ounces...WooHoo!!!! I was so proud of my hard work until (see the next photo.)

Our little Princess downed my two ounces in a minute - wham and it was gone. Just like that. Rob did enjoy feeding her for the brief amount of time it lasted. We're obviously not concerned about her taking a bottle.

5 weeks old and just too cute. Don't let the angel hands fool you :)


My new kicks that Mom had to put on me because they won't fit in a week. We had to document my first pair of shoes. I'm ready to play ball!!!

All stretched out and nowhere to go. Notice how blonde my hair is.

This is all 23.2 inches of me!
