Kisses for MY little sister. Peyton was very interested in Bristol on day 2. She wanted to give kisses and point to her body parts.

More photos of Bristol
First of all, thank you to Rachel for updating the blog and getting the word out about Bristol's arrival.
First meeting of Mommy!
Close up pic so you can really appreciate my cheeks.
Really? More photos - I'm blocking your perfect shot.
Life is so good.
Cheese!! I love my new little sister.
I even have kisses for Mommy.
Our going home outfit that barely fit. I knew I shouldn't have opened all those Newborn outfits. This one barely fits. She'll have to wear all those outfits next week so they at least touch her body.
Already settled in at home. I have my blanket (thanks Brittany) and my swing. We're all set. Oh, and that loud girl named Peyton is napping so things are quiet.

It's a BOY OH BOY!!!!!
What!? Did I confuse you?
I just meant "boy oh boy is Bristol a big girl!!!!"
Go Kelly, go Kelly!! Mom and baby are doing well. Of course, Kelly's delivery went perfectly, exactly as planned; as most everything in her life does. :-)
I do believe that Peyton will be meeting her littleprotege sister this evening.
And, if you need room number/hospital address information for chocolate or McDonalds deliveries, email me at huserachel@gmail.com.
Congratulations Douglas family of four! Happy birthday, Bristol!

I Lied
So...Bristol's birthday is not August 5th. There are 2 hours left in the day and we are sitting at home watching So You Think You Can Dance (love it!) Here is how today went:
5:55 a.m. - wake up to alarm so I can call hospital and check bed availability
6 a.m. - back to sleep since there were NO beds (full moon last night)
7 a.m. - phone calls began to wish us luck (ha!)
7:30 a.m. - 2nd phone call to hospital still no beds, but I was given the ok to eat
8 a.m. - the Princess (numero uno) woke up
8 a.m. t0 1 p.m. - hung with with our first born
1 p.m. - 3rd call to hospital and still no beds. I was told that I was on the list and would be called if something opened up. I was also asked if I would come in the middle of the night and I said yes, but wasn't sure if my doctor would be up for it.
1 p.m. to 8 p.m. - a usual day
8 p.m. - called "on-call" doctor to ask what I'm supposed to do. She (not my dr) said to come to the office tomorrow morning as a walk-in and we'll go from there.
So, we now have the rest of tonight to get another good night's rest and we'll update tomorrow. I feel like this is way more drawn out than the anticipation of my first child. Womack was like "eh, it will happen when it happens." Maybe I need to go back to that theory.
If she's born tomorrow she will be exactly 25 months to the day younger than Peyton. They will both share the 6th as their b-day along with their father.
Thanks for all the well wishes - they are much appreciated.

Bristol's b-day will be August 5th
We now have a focus for the arrival of Miss Bristol! I had a doctor's appointment today and am dilated to 3. Doc asked if I was interested in inducing and at this point I totally am. Peyton was five days late and this one is already one day late with no real signs on coming any day. So Doc said he'd schedule me for Thursday or Friday to give me a few more days to see if she wanted to make her way on her own. Well, the hospital only had 7:30 a.m. tomorrow available. I have to call at 6 a.m. to check and see if there are any beds available. If not, then I wait until they call me. So....we think it will be tomorrow. They have 15 delivery rooms. And, who knows, maybe she'll still come today - there are 10 hours left.
I am definitely feeling more uncomfortable each day. Lots of pressure because she's so low. Peyton enjoyed the whole area - high rise apartment and all. Bristol is more of a ground level/basement type of gal. She has been snuggled low the whole time.
I officially started my maternity leave today! WOOHOO! Eight weeks begins today. I plan to go back to work October 1ish.
Hopefully the next post will be about Bristol's arrival.
