Final farewell to College

Last night I said my final farewell to my college life. I know it's been 7 years since I graduated and it's taken me this long to say this farewell. Here is what I said farewell to - my belly button ring. It's gone. I don't even recognize my mid-section anymore. It's like I'm meeting someone new. I know it sounds funny, but for the last 8 years I have had this attachment. Not anymore. I am officially a grown adult now - no random piercings!

A friend of mine took hers out when she was pregnant with twins. The girls are 3 or 4 now and on a whim she decided to see if she could still get her belly ring through the holes that she assumed had long been closed up and she did. So don't go throwing it away just yet!

OMG! I got that belly ring with you!!! You made me go first (mean big sister that you are)! And I am glad I did because if I had seen you bleed when you got that, I would have chickened out. (BUt you probably would have made me go through with it anyway.) I have a picture of our two newly pierced belly buttons somewhere in storage. I must find it!!!

Anyway, now I feel old (despite the fact that I took mine out about 3 and a half years ago).

1st of all, Becs, you MUST find that picture! I can't wait to see it.

Secondly, Kelly, they have pregnancy belly button rings for you to wear so you don't have to have them out - just a thought, if you wanted to keep that part of your life alive! :-)
