It's been over a month since our last post and so much has happened.
First of all, we're moving to Fort Leavenworth, KS in June. WHAT? I know, it seems so crazy that after 8 years at Fort Bragg we are moving. I know the other question you are asking yourself is "how are you going to move ALL that stuff?" We have a plan. Get rid of it. That's the simple plan. This is a great opportunity to purge. We want to start fresh.
Here's how it went. Last Monday, Rob called me as I was boarding a plane to RI and said "well, the Brigade Commander has made it very clear that I'm going to ILE this summer." I was like "um, uh, um, ok." After a good discussion we decided that the right thing to do for the whole family was to be together. Rob has missed far too much the past 3 deployments and we need to be together. So, that's what we're going to do. Fortunately, I work for an amazing company that is going to allow me to work from home. This move will actually enable me to do my job better since I can focus on all 3 of my installations and not be engrossed in Bragg. There will be more travel, but at least Rob will be home to help with the girls.
Rob will be attending CGSC/ILE which is a mandatory school for Majors. He has to do this. It will be a good break to enjoy the family time. Hoping that he's home everyday by 4ish. NICE!
Other things that have happened. Hmmmmm - Peyton took a header at school and busted her forehead. She ended up with a nice goose egg that then caused two black eyes. We call her Grace.
Bristol has been busy. She's really into undressing now. She likes to unzip her PJs and run around in her diaper. She's getting more verbal too. When I call Papa and "my" ring tone goes off she comes running to his pocket yelling Momma Momma! Too cute. Her smile is getting cuter and cuter as she gets more teeth.
I owe the blog videos, pictures and many more stories. The move will be a new adventure for the fam! Hopefully we'll survive!
Upcoming - Rob will get home in mid-Aprilish and then we're headed for a Disney Cruise. Can't wait. Before that the girls and I will be flying home for Tia Nikki's wedding. Fun! Fun! Fun! Grandma already has their outfits planned out head to toe.
Happy Anniversary and Valentine's Day to my loving husband who is currently in Nepal. It's been an amazing 8 years that I definitely did not predict. Looking forward to spending the next 8 in the same house together.
