Went to doctor on Monday for Bristol's 4 month check up. Here are her stats:
15 pounds
25 3/4 inches long
Doc said the following things:
- she needs to eat more. Her chart did not show the right incline in weight as the last two visits. So we've been giving her a bottle/boob whenever she wants it. She's been eating like a champ.
- she can start rice cereal. Did that for the first time last night and she loved it. Kept opening her mouth and going for the spoon. We have another eater on our hands!
Questions we had:
- her left eye seems to be a little lazy every once in awhile. Doc gave us a referral to a pediatric opthamologist to be on the safe side. We'll go see him in the New Year.
- her left rib cage seemed a little larger to me. Doc confirmed this. No real issue, but it's nice as a Mom to know you're not crazy.
Bristol is doing great. She now holds her bottle on her own when she eats. This is all Papa's doing as he is raising my girls to be very independent.

Grow Bristol, Grow! I hear you on the ribcage thing, and it nice being confirmed by the dr. I hope she beefs up a little for you. lol.
Obviously, we are used to the pediatric opthamologist. I hope its nothing, but if not its no big deal and the sooner you catch it the better! My suggestion looking back with Lexie is that you can really tell more by pictures! Delaney goes for her first visit in January. (Because Lexie's eyes are so bad, he told us to have any subsequent children checked between 9-12 months.)

We have gone to the pediatric eye doc too...always better to have it checked out! Go with those mommy instincts
