Can you say white coat syndrome? Holy Moly. Out of nowhere, Peyton has become deathly afraid of the doctor's office. She refused to get on the scale to be weighed, forget being measured without us holding her down and the idea of having a light shined in her ears was terrifying. We even worked all week on going to see Dr. Shekar. She would not say hello to her, but she immediately started saying goodbye when she walked through the door. My theory is that she still remembers when she hurt her foot and had to do xrays and give blood. That was very traumatic for all of us and wasn't that long ago.
Here are her 2 year stats:
weight - 28 pounds
height - 36 inches (if you do the "crazy" math, she'll be about 5'11 as an adult)
Funny comments by Peyton:
1. As she was crying from all the trauma of seeing Dr. Shekar she yelled out "Goodbye Dr. Shekar" with a huge smile when she started to walk out of the room. Dr. Shekar laughed so hard. It was pretty funny.
2. After her shots (which again was uncontrollable crying as we pinned her down on the table), I scooper her up and she had her head embedded in my shoulder and she yelled out "thank you, thank you, thank you." So we know she even has her manners during stressful times! Rob and I could not help but laugh at that point.
3. Yesterday she was flipping through her book and saw a Rainbow and said "Dr. Shekar." I was amazed because the name of Dr. Shekar's office is Rainbow Pediatrics and that's their symbol.
