Thursday, June 18th - Another morning trip to the pool while we waited for Daddy to finish his conference. Then we headed to downtown Tampa and the Aquarium. Peyton passed out on the way there so we were able to have an adult lunch while she slept in her stroller. Then she woke up for "fishy" time. She liked the aquarium, but REALLY liked the water area. It was really cute. Again - something that is needed in every city. Those are the types of things you miss living in a small town.
Friday, June 19th - Off to the Lowry Zoo (voted best zoo by Parents Magazine.) It was really nice. We walked and walked and walked and saw lots of animals. Peyton was a trooper. She took her first sky ride. Very cool. And, saw all sorts of neat animals. She rode a camel and a pony. Camel was with Daddy (he's a pro at that) and the pony was all by herself. In fact, a little boy chickened out of the pony ride, but not our little trooper. She got on it and rode the whole ride. She also really enjoyed the water area at the zoo. We got there at 10 a.m. and left around 3 p.m. It was a very long hot day and Peyton passed out before we pulled out of the parking lot. So...we drove around for a few hours and did a window tour of Tampa. We drove through the fancy homes to see if there was anything we would want to live in. HA! Tampa is an area that is a possibility for Rob to PCS to so we were seriously looking if it's even possible. I have to say that the area was fantastic (minus traffic) and I could definitely live in Tampa.
Saturday, June 20th - Final pool time at hotel and then off to Fayetteville. She was a champ the car ride home. We left around 12 and got home around 10:30 p.m. Thank gosh for portable dvd players and Word World. Her favorite!
With all of that, vacation is unfortunately OVER. It was such a great trip. It was our first family vacation where we went somewhere just the 3 of us. It was really nice. We're even thinking about what our next vacation. Probably sometime in late December/early January. We did realize that traveling during the summer is nice. We always travel during the holidays which creates additional stress. Now I know why summer vacations are so popular.

It was a great week.
Oooh, I could deal with you living in Tampa! And I could make great meals (real ones) and serve you regular sized bread. LOL.
Cute pics. We will check out the Aquarium soon, and are actually headed to the zoo Tuesday (Paul is off).
I forgot Peyton wanted to put everything (golf clubs, etc) in the pool... too cute! I just remember how excited she was about everything and how could we NOT get her picture with the guitar!
Glad you enjoyed your time in Tampa. Great place to live and much closer to Mom and Dad, as well as much of Florida's finest attractions!
Duh, not Dad. Couldn't get much closer to him than you already are.
Sounds like you had a great vacation. Love the pictures. Peyton is just precious.
Portable DVD.... I think I need to get one too before our next trip to North Carolina.
Your blog is great....even if your so far away I feel like I am updated with everything cause you do such a great job keeping us posted.
Love ya chica.
Sounds like you had a great time. I grew up in Tampa and went to Lowry Park Zoo all the time. There is a lot to do there, but it is a big city. MacDill is a big base. :)
