Dollhouse

Peyton has discovered her dollhouse. This photo looks a little funny because I think she was sick of me being in the room trying to take her picture. She just wanted to play in the dollhouse on her own.

This dollhouse is very significant. My Grandfather built this for me back in 1979. He even used little letter stickers to write a message on the attic for me. I didn't realize until a few years ago what it said. I absolutely love this dollhouse. I played with it for many, many years and my Dad and I have kept it for the last 30 years just so one day my daughter would have the opportunity to play with it. Well, the day arrived a few weeks ago when we decided to turn it around. It's always been in Peyton's room, but the front of it faced into the room. We turned it around and now she plays in it. In fact, sometimes she plays while she should be napping. That's okay though.

Papa and Nanny - thank you so much for creating an amazing gift that would last through my childhood and now my daughters' childhoods. We will cherish the dollhouse and think of you when we play in it. We miss you and love you.

What an incredible doll house and treasure! Thats awesome. I am now going to try to convince Randy to make one for the girls and use your post to tap his heartstrings.

And I totally know that look.
