Status Update

It's now 4:39 p.m. and Rob has officially completed his two major tasks. His first task was to fix the neighbor's mailbox that he destroyed with his truck. He successfully called a Handyman service to come over on Tuesday and take care of (there is no way he could have done it this week with the weather we had.) All I have to do is write the check.

His 2nd task was to help me clean out Baby #2's closet. We have completed that. We pulled everything out, sorted it, repacked it in Tupperware and put it back in the closet. The dining room looks like an alien breeding ground with all of the black garbage bags full of clothes. It's now totally organized and ready for little pink outfits to be hung. We also moved all the storage containers from Peyton's closet to Baby #2's. This way all I have to do is buy some baby hangers and start putting the 0-3 outfits up. We'll be ready to go in no time!

I'm waiting for Rachel's pure genius to help decide how the furniture should go and what color we should paint. She has so many great ideas.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes for Rob. This is one of those funky deployments where it's hard to be sad since he's going to Hawaii, but he's still going to be gone. I hurt for Peyton, but fortunately she's young enough to not realize what's going on. She will miss him, but she has a lot of love here in Fayetteville. She will also have a lot of visitors coming in and out. It's nice knowing that Rob is literally a plane ride away if something does happen. It's also nice that he'll be back in August for the birth of the baby. Hopefully he can stay 2 weeks or more. I know time is going to fly by since it will only be 5 months until we see him again. Between being pregnant and working each day will go so fast. I think it helps too when they're gone during the summer because I feel like there are so many more things to do in the warm weather. The weekends are the hardest so if you fill them with activities they go quickly. Alright, I'm rationalizing.

For those military spouses out there you know the feeling. For those civilians, it's hard, but it's doable and it's the man I love so you just deal with the cards you're dealt.

I'll touch base later in the week. We'll be busy with Rachel and Lorelai being here. YAY!!!!!

Good job, Rob! Better late than never. Don't get eaten by a shark while you're surfing.... during your deployment.

Now you have me teary eyed. Goodbyes are goodbyes, and still a seperation of a family unit that isn't meant to be seperated. The first 24 hours always stink the worst, but hopefully focusing on Rachel and Lorelai's visit will take some of the sadness away.
Looking forward to helping you occupy your weekends :) Pls tell Rachel I need to get on her schedule for her next trip down for interior design of my BFE house. Micayla can't decide if she wants a Cat in the Hat Room or a Princess room in her new house. She's trying to tell me she can have both....
Hugs to you today....
