Peyton had another first today. We somehow escaped from our crib. Yup, that's right. Rob and I were cleaning out the baby's room and Peyton seemed to be tired so I attempted to put her in her crib for a mid-afternoon nap. She was not happy about my decision. We let her cry for about 2 minutes and Rob said "did she get out of her crib?" I was like "no way, she's just banging against it." He said "it really sounds like the door." We were just next door in the baby's room so I thought I would have heard it. So I got up and went and checked. Sure enough - she was knocking on her door from the inside. She had successfully escaped from her crib. I immediately opened the door in fear of a broken bone or something worse. As soon as she saw me she stopped crying. I scooped her up and did the 100% body check and nothing. Of all times, we were upstairs and not downstairs by the video monitor where we could have witnessed the escape.
This all took place around 12:15 p.m. The rest of the afternoon went on as usual. No temper tantrums and no real issues. At about 4:30 p.m. (when I was typing the post before this) she got into her chair to eat a little snack. Halfway into her bagel things go SILENT. Rob and I look over and we spot the image below:
Her bagel got the best of her!

I'm still laughing at this!
Awesome!
Guess you may not need a crib after all.
Lexie climbed INTO her crib the first time. Paul was right there and asked her if she could climb out and she said "Sure!" and she got right out.
laughing hysterically. And it's not even 6am
Ha, I love the sleeping high chair picture, priceless.
Looks like you may just switch right over to big girl bed now, huh?
ROFLMAO Too priceless - the bagel does what the crib cannot!
