Worst night EVER - ER visit with Bristol

On this day, I realized that God had a plan for me and that included blessing me with two little girls.  I'm not sure how my friends how have boys and take multiple trips to the ER do it.  As I watched Bristol run down the hallway in her little pink tutu and pink tights time stood still as she turned to corner to go up the steps.  She fell and hit the corner of the bottom of the stairwell rail where there is a point.  It cracked her head open like a watermelon. She came screaming down the hall, I picked her up and immediately knew it was BAD.  I put her on the kitchen counter and told Dad "it's bad, it's bad."  He tried to get out of the electric recliner, but couldn't do it quick enough (quite funny actually.)  We both examined the head while Bristol yelled "take me to the hospital to fix my head."  She calmed down when we were able to get the blood from running down her face.  I, however, was the furthest from calm. We rush to the car, pull the car seat out so I can hold Bristol in my lap and we're off to the ER.  Oh, did I mention Rob was still deployed?????
She fell asleep in my arms in the ER.  Of course, I this started to worry that she had a concussion.  I spent the majority of this time texting all my medical friends to ask their opinions on stiches vs. glue.  I probably asked Saioa the most question which is why she hopped in her car and headed to the ER to comfort us :0
As you can see, the patient quickly went back to normal and was keeping a smile on everyone's face.

This was the first picture Rob saw when he woke up in Afghanistan to the Facebook pictures/posts.  He was actually very proud of his little tomboy.
At this point, Bristol was negotiating with the ER doc to glue it instead of stitching it.  She understood that stiches would require a needle and glue...well, it's glue.  She even called it dermabond and asked what color it was.  I responded with "glitter."

On our way home with glue and a bandaid.

It was a rough day - for both of us!
What's a little girl who busts her head open need?  A trip to the Disney Store.  And, she was so sweet she asked to buy her sister a gift too.

Here is the next day - pretty sure she didn't realize the ramifications in that wound opened back up!!!

Bristol's first "get well" gift from my coworkers.  It was a sweet bunny and a nice card.  Bristol loved the attention she received....Peyton...not so much!
