Bristol is really starting to talk up a storm, but she's a little confused on some of her terminology. Due to her sister's obsession with Ariel and The Little Mermaid movie, Bristol calls every princess Mermaid. When you say to her "no, that's a princess", she responds with a very peppy "MERMAID!" There's really no reasoning with a 2 year old. We've come to realize that.
As for Peyton and princesses, the funniest thing happened the other day. My friend Amanda had stopped by to see the girls and we were downstairs playing. Amanda thought it would be cute to grab one of Peyton's tiaras and put it on her head. She then said to Peyton "look, I'm a princess." Peyton very casually and deliberately marched over to Amanda, reached up and obtained the tiara and then walked over and placed it in the bottom of her toy bin. This was all done with a facial expression or word. It is obvious that she thinks there is only ONE princess in this house and it's Peyton.
In other news, we have to re-plan our weekend. Mom came down with bronchitis so she's not able to come visit this weekend. We're all bummed, but understand. So, now I think we're going to hit the zoo with the Wilsons. Peyton has been asking to see Nate this week so we'll make that happen.
Saturday will be collage football all day so the girls and I may need to sneak off and go do something. I can only watch so many games. And, the house is clean in preparation for Mom so no need to work on that.
We'll post some pics from our adventures this weekend. Peyton was the kid in school that got to bring Clifford home for the weekend so we'll be doing a "where's Waldo" photo essay this weekend. Now, we just need to make sure we don't lose Clifford. That's a lot of responsibility!
