The move.....

I just spent the last 30 minutes changing and updating the way the blog looks so now I don't have time to tell you all about our journey to Leavenworth, Kansas.  Here's just a few tidbits to wet your whistle:

1.  We worked up to 12 minutes before our movers arrived.  We were literally packing the last few items in the car right before they pulled up.  Nothing like literally utilizing the last minute. 
2.  We worked Dad so hard that he ended up with a staff infection in his leg and had to keep both legs elevated for 5 days. 
3.  Peyton kept asking "are we there yet" and "are we in Kansas" - this, obviously, became very old.
4.  We arrived to find out that the square footage on our rental house is about 500 square feet smaller than our other house.  This definitely causes creative stacking of boxes.  Speaking of, we had 312 boxes and were 2500 pounds over our weight limit.  We've already donated 30 boxes.  We will not be too heavy going back!
5.  The girls love the floor plan on the house.  It's very open and they can enjoy all the intimate family time.
6.  There's so much to do out here - so, I'm off to the Fair tonight.
