Oh my! Our last post was in March and it was a lazy post - only pictures. I truly don't know where the time has gone. I'm going to to a quick update on what's happened the last month.
I've been very busy with work. I've gone on two trips. One to San Antonio at the end of March and one to Ft. Riley, Kansas last week. This last trip was really long and I missed the girls so much. They were cute on the phone. I would put Peyton on speaker phone while I was driving with my coworker Amanda and we would just laugh. I am totally convinced that I could have a Reality Show on my life. Actually it would be on my Dad and him raising our girls. They are just so funny together. I totally need to load some videos. I'm sure all my "loyal" readers miss his commentary.
Over this past month, Bristol has become so mobile. She is now pulling up on everything and scooting along the furniture. She's happier standing than she is crawling. Her balance is fantastic. She only falls over every one in awhile and then we really cry. This upsets her sister (unless she caused it) and Havick.
Funny story - I was in the other room and I heard a thump followed by Bristol crying. I ran into the room and scooped Bristol up. She was laying on her back beside her sister who continued to play on the coffee table with her toys. I tried to settle Bristol down when Peyton walked over and said "Bristol's crying because I pushed her." I tried to hold back the laughter because the honesty in the statement was so funny to me. At that point I had to teach her a lesson that we don't push our sister. Oh, it's just begun!!!! Bristol now gives it back to her. Bristol's a bit smarter - she goes for the long, gorgeous blond hair. It's easier to get her itty bitty fingers wrapped around the strands!
The lake house is fantastic. We bought a pimped out golf cart. I'll upload pictures this weekend once we have it. Peyton went in the lake the other weekend. She was fully clothed. I turned around and she was face first. So, she continued to play in the water. Dad just found us two jet skis so we're excited about adding that to our property.
Funny story - the first weekend down at the lake we were putting together all the items that went with our place. One of these items is a grill that Dad and I bought in December for a really, really cheap price. As Dad and Rob were assembling the grill, they realized that it took the wrong type of gas so we needed to return it to WalMart. We took it back to the little WalMart by the lake to find replacement grills that had the same type of gas. We were so confused at this point. So Rob googled to see if we could use propane gas on our grill that requires LP gas. Come to find out, propane and LP gas is the same thing. We all laughed so hard. It worked to our favor though because WalMart offers free assembly!
I hired a housekeeper/cook. Her name is Debra and I love her. She comes to the house once a week for 10 hours. She busts her butt. And, she cooks us 2-3 meals every week. It is fantastic. I finally had a discussion with myself and realized that something had to give and it was a higher priority for me to spend time with my family than clean my home. So I hired someone to do it. I haven't done laundry in a month!!!!!
I think that's it for now. Oh, the girls supposedly have allegeries, but I don't believe it. They're fine now.
Pictures and videos to come soon.
