The Joy

I find myself really enjoying Motherhood these days. Life is super good. I periodically toy with the idea of how nice it would be to stay at home with the girls, but then I quickly realize that I am checking my Blackberry throughout the day and constantly staying in touch with the folks at work. So would I really be able to make that separation? [For those of you reading this, please note that I am in no way considering the stay at home mom thing, but every once in awhile it's nice to ponder the idea especially since I am enjoying my time with Peyton and Bristol.]

I know it would get old quickly (especially as my salary disappeared), but this break from the daily grind has been wonderful. It's quickly coming to an end (I go back to work October 4th) so I'm taking each day slowly and trying to pack in a ton of excitement for Peyton. I won't have a break like this again for quite some time so each day is precious.

I hear ya. I still think that is what I should do after I retire. After fulfilling my career goals in the Army, I need to take care of the family so we can follow you around the country and be the best fortune 500 CEO ever.

Glad you are enjoying this period of time with the girls :)

"I won't have a break like this again for quite some time"--- "Some time" being? When are you gonna give another shot at Rob Junior? ;)

And Rob is onto something. I honestly believe you could rule this world if you wanted to.

You guys are too much.

Rob - get over it. You are not going to be a stay at home soccer Dad when you retire from the Army. The girls will be like 8 and 10 or something like that so you don't really "need" to stay home at that point dear.

Becs - thanks! I guess I could rule the world if I was more focused. HA! The statement I made was more geared toward any potential PCS moves we might have to make with the Army where I would be unemployed for a short period of time.

As your dedicated employee, I am launching a full on boycott of "Operation Stay At Home Mom." I know where you live!!! I will come get you if I have to ;)

Just kidding. I'm glad you are enjoying your time at home with the girls. I hope you enjoy these last couple of weeks! I see some "working from home" days in the near future ;)
