Had a Doctor Appointment this morning and things went really well. As you all know, I have been very concerned about the potential of having a c-section. This was definitely not in my birth plan. So today I went in for my 38 week appointment and convinced the Doctor that we needed to do another fetal weight ultrasound to truly make a good, education birth plan.
After about 10 minutes of watching our little Bristol move around, it was determined that she is only 8.5 pounds. WOOHOO!!! I walked out into the hallway and said "Dr. Ponder - she's tiny...only 8.5 pounds." He responded with "that might be tiny for your house!" Obviously, 8.5 is still considered a big baby, but not by my account. Peyton was 9.5 and I had no problem with her delivery.
I do have to go back in on Friday for another ultrasound because my amniotic fluid was low (due to the fact that the technician wasn't able to find any pockets of fluid since Bristol was hogging the area.) Depending on the outcome on Friday, we will make a decision whether I will be induced early next week or let things go naturally. Either way I have told Rob he needs to come this weekend. Hopefully his command is going to let him come home this weekend and then work from the Bragg office next week until I have the baby. This was he won't have to use any of his leave. That would be great! He can also help me with Peyton at night since I'm getting a little slower and she's getting a little faster.
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. I will keep you posted.

Lexie was 8.5- thats fine... of course Bristol still has time to catch up to big sis :) So excited for you... can't wait to hear how it all goes and way to take charge of your experience... not surprising though.
Good luck with everything I will think thoughts of no c-section! Didn't you have low a fluid with Peyton? Can't wait to meet the Bristol!! Big babies are great!
Good luck, hope everything goes smoothly. And a c-section is NOT a huge deal. I had two of them!
Our Thoughts and prayers are with you. I go in on teh 31 for the decision if we have to go with a c-section or if we get the chance to induce. I'm glad to hear that things are going well for all of you and We will pray that Rob gets to be there and that you will get to have a vag. Birth. Many blessings my friend.
