Our first trip and fall

We have successfully survived our first trip and fall! Dad and Peyton walk me out every morning to my car. Peyton was playing in the front driveway when I asked her to come over and give me a kiss goodbye. She enthusiastically hopped to it and ran my way. Her cute little pink Mary Jane Crocs got hung up on the cement and BOOM she fell face forward. Fortunately she was quick enough to throw her sippy cup out of one hand and a little ball out of the other so she could save her precious little face. I, of course, reacted like you're not supposed to. I dropped everything (purse and laptop) and ran toward her to swoop her up like the heroic Mommy I am :)

She wasn't screaming, but definitely favoring her little hands. Well, she had scraped the back of her hand and one of her knees. There was blood. This was a first - yikes! Not really a big deal, but it was a first.

So then the "Heroic Mommy" had to say goodbye because I was on my way to work. Dad took her inside and they played doctor. She got medicine on her hand and a band aid. At this point she thought she was bigtime. All is well now.

This morning when she woke up she looked right at me, held her hand up and said "Mommy - booboo!" It was so cute. She kept referring to it until I put more medicine on it. So cute.

I plan to take a picture later today so we can document this incident.

I hope everyone is having an amazing week.

Oh, I had a doc appointment for #2. Things are going well. The doc is very concerned about Peyton being over 9 pounds. He had me take another diabetes test. I promised him that I just have big babies. I did mention that Peyton's clavicle bone was broken during birth. I'm really hoping that he doesn't try to induce me earlier because of this concern. I will definitely fight that. Other than that she's doing really well. Moving like crazy and staying status quo. Good baby!

What are you doing to my little girl?

She is too cute. Keep her from growing to fast while I am gone.

Is it a different doctor?

Of course you are Hero Mommy! We wouldn't expect anything less?

Its so hard not to react like that. Even now, I want to but Lexie gets embarrassed so I have to watch out of the corner of my eye and hope that no one even comments on it. IF she is really hurt she always comes seeking me.

I would really like to see a belly shot.
