Peyton had her first Easter Egg hunt yesterday at my work and it was so funny. She didn’t get any eggs during the official hunt (greedy kids), but one of my managers saved her some eggs and we threw them out in front of her to go and grab. So…now she thinks that Easter eggs come from the sky. She walked over to the tree and was holding on looking up to see if anymore were going to fall. Of course, we kept laughing and throwing more. Keep in mind that we recycled 6 eggs over and over. We're going to do another hunt in our backyard. Her only competition will be the dogs.
Other fun stories:
She now answers the TV (or in her words the TB.) And, she reacts when something happens. For example, she now yells at Swiper the Fox on Dora the Explorer. She goes "there he is" when they ask "where's Swiper?" It's so funny. And, she goes "OH NO" if something scary is happening. Like some of the characters fell from the sky and the whole time they were floating to the ground she was yelling "OH NO!!!!!" I was laughing so hard.
We took a nap together on Sunday and I told her she had to be quiet if she wanted to sleep with Mommy. She continued to roll over toward me and get about 1 inch from my face and just stare.
If I cracked a smile she would giggle. Then she woke up and I was laying with my back to her and she said in a real soft whisper "mommy....mommy." It was so sweet.
Yesterday's funny took place outside. She was chasing Havick in the backyad as he was doing his zoomies and he stopped to choke as he usually does. At that point Peyton bent over like Havick and started coughing. Then she followed my Dad and his rake around with her rake. She also turned her cute mittens into gardening gloves. (Yes - mittens. It was 55 degrees out here the other day.) Sometimes I just can't keep up.
A coworker of mine handed Peyton a small digital camera to keep her occupied. Peyton proceeded to put the camera to her face, point it at Scarlett (my assistant who typically has a camera to her eye) and say "CHEESE!" This went on for about 15 minutes. She was receiving a lot of encouragement from the laughing crowd.

What funny stories, Peyton is precious!
Priceless! Those are too cute.
Lexie used to squat down like Sonic when she was doing her "business". She thought it was hysterical.
I really like the eggs coming from trees story though... that may be my favorite.
I feel so out of touch with the whole Easter thing this year. I think he will be making a late night run to Walmart this year for goodies for the baskets.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Stop her! She's growing up too fast! I just saw her, too! :-(
Come visit. Now.
So funny! I love that they say what they think! I love the egg story, I bet it will become a traditon in the Douglas house hold to drop eggs from trees.
Funny she calls the TV - TB, Kai still calls it TP!
Hey...Hagen does zoomies too! At least I am assuming a zoomie is when the dog runs back and forth across the lawn for no good reason whatsoever...except for to entertain us:) we always get a crack out of it.
Peyton is too cute. I don't remember you ever thinking it was cute when I would whisper to you during our naps...hehehe
