What are the chances?

This past weekend was awesome. My Aunt Karen and I went to NYC to celebrate our birthdays. We ate, shopped, ate, shopped...did I mention that we shopped. Oh, and we saw a show. We went to Wicked and it was AWESOME!!!! If you ever have a chance to see the show you really, really should. It was fabulous. My favor scene/song was Popular! I know some of you are surprised by that.
Here's where the story gets crazy. Karen and I were in Tiffany's shopping for our b-day gift for each other and all of the sudden I hear "Barry University...Miami Shores." I turn around and spot a girl that I went to college with and was in Student Government with. Her name is Monica. She works a Tiffany's. Crazy. I was totally blown away by the interaction and the chances of that happening in NYC.
So the story continues. On Sunday night I was sitting in the airport amazed at the fact that Rosie O'Donnell was right in front of me with her kids. (I'm not a Rosie fan so it wasn't that big of a deal, but still cool to watch her walk around like common folk.) Then I see this guy come out of the store and think "hmmm, that guy sure does look like my buddy Phil Stein from high school." So I stalk him and follow him around the corner. He went into the bathroom so I stood across the hall. When he came out I recognized his mannerisms and knew it had to be him. So I did the famous yell out and see if he turns around. He did. SERIOUSLY? How do I run into two people from my past? It was crazy. Really cool to see Phil because I met his fiance. She's really cool. It's pretty neat to be able to meet her because Rob and I are going to their wedding in Fl on Nov 1st so now I won't be the random friend who doesn't know the bride and the groom.
Anyways, I had to share that story. NYC was fantastic. I'll have to take a pic of my favorite fake Prada that I bought. Love it!

I loved WICKED. Out of all the shows I have seen, it is my favorite one! I saw it in Chicago 3 years ago this month and yes Popular is a great song!

It sounds like you had a great birthday weekend. I already told Steve that for my 30th, we better go away somewhere and Tiffany's sounds like a good "away" place. Ha!

Monica who used to have a seizure disorder? Randomly, I ran into Saioa's HS coach's wife this weekend and she knew to ask me about Sai, but sadly I didnt have too much that I knew.

Let's see the Prada (or is it a Prado, he he) pic... and what did you get at Tiffany's?

You always seem to see people on your trips! I totally wanted to see Wicked last month in Chicago but didn't get a chance. Go Rog with his motorcycle!!!! I was so happy when we got rid of ours but Matt still wants to get another one!
