Clarification on sonograms

Just so everyone is clear on why we have had three sonograms:

1. First sonogram - was for personal reasons and we paid $100 for it. We went up to Raleigh to get that one done. The main purpose was to find out the sex of the baby.

2. Second sonogram - I had a normal midwife appointment on Tuesday with my new midwife who I ADORE!!! She was so cool and so excited about me having a girl that she said she wanted to "take a peek at that pretty little girl" so she pulled in the sonogram machine and checked her out. She also printed out some photos because she said sometimes you don't get good shots during your routine sonogram.

3. Third sonogram - I had my normally scheduled routine medical sonogram yesterday. That's where they do all the measurements and all that good stuff to really check and see if everything is okay. The technician seemed confident in the sonogram and what she saw so I expect nothing is wrong. They will send the report to my midwife who will then call me if anything "abnormal" was visible. We did decline all of the tests to check for any disabilities because we both decided that either way this was our child and we were going to love it and raise it the best we can regardless of what we get :)

I hope that explains everything. I really do appreciate the concerns. Here I had complained that the Army only gives you one sonogram and now I've already had three. We are planning on a 4th one in April so Rob can participate (he missed #2 and #3 because of class.) That one will be a 3D sonogram so we'll be able to see her precious little face. And, most importantly - who's nose does she have?????

Glad things are going well, she's so cute. And she definitely has your nose! We finally closed on our homes today and now have the joy of unpacking...you will have to come visit before you don't have any time or are too tired =)

You've already had as many as we did the whole pregnancy..and they were worried with mine! Geesh! :-) Glad you're having such a great experience, though. That is freakin' awesome - you deserve it!

by the way - I told JD what you said about us probably not being here for the birth and he was like, "What? Why wouldn't we be!?" Gotta love him!

Crack = anytime you want to invite us up we'd be happy to come. Congrats on closing on BOTH homes. That is just great. I know you're excited to be moving on.

Becs - thanks for your concern. You always were the caring one.

Rach - I really hope you two are here. We want to share the experience with you both. Fingers crossed...

Kel-
Ok, today is a record day. I was called "the caring one" and described as a "risktaker"- usually I just take "RainMan" as a descriptor from you guys.
Yeah- 1 more and you will have had as many as me- and like Rachel, I had difficulties they were checking out :)
Happy "Popping"
