Update on appointment

Well, the first appointment is supposed to be pretty routine, but mine was very entertaining. Rachel can attest to this. I officially had a crazy lady do my initial appointment. She was a "fill-in" for the normal lady and boy was she entertaining. Pure country - to include nursing her sister's baby because she didn't want to get up in the middle of the night to get formula. YES! Some things you just don't tell strangers. She was a handful.

Everything went as planned. I had to give blood again - woohoo! And, my favorite technician who looks like our hair dresser Christy because they're both Lumbee Indian, used a normal needle and I did hurt a little more than usual. I'm getting better at it though. It helped having Rachel and JD there to support (or laugh at me.)

I'm off to VEGAS tonight. Yup, baby's first trip to Sin City. Should be fun. I'm meeting my Mom and Mike there tonight and then I have a work conference starting on Tuesday evening. Mom and Mike will fly out on Tuesday morning. Looking forward to seeing some shows and taking in some yummy food.

I probably won't post any entries until I return - so sorry. I might surprise you with one though since I am lugging my laptop.

You and Rachel really should have shopped around the idea to different television studios about doing reality tv through both of your pregnancies... that would have been funny.

Have fun in Vegas, remember what they say about the champagne room.

Wait- did I read that right--- nursing her sister's baby? Wow. So is she nursing her own too or is she just a human milk dispenser?

Be careful, Kelly. Have fun and don't overdo it! You did great at your appointment. I almost fell out of my chair when the woman told us that "whipping your tit out is easier than heating up a bottle of formula." In answer to your question, Becs, the nurse and her sister had babies 30 days apart, so she was still nursing her baby.

Rest assured, Kelly, I will NOT breastfeed your baby(ies) when I watch it(them). BELIEVE ME!!!
